Plush
items were popular with collectors in the 80s and it has seemingly carried
over to the new ranges of My Little Ponies. Plushes have the wonderful
form of My Little Pony in a squeezable, loveable type toy. The original
1980's versions were called Hasbro Softies, but adopted the slang term
Plushes. Click here to view
the various 80's plush items. There are also super soft Pillow Buddies,
which are larger than the actual plushes. |

The beautiful plush ponies are very close to their plastic counterparts in appearance and shape. Each having an delicately embroidered symbol and individually colored eyes and highlights. You'll notice that Sweetberry, Sparkleworks and Pinkie Pie has a special double heart hoof mark, this is the same way that early prototypes and sketches appeared. These plush items were offered first in Australia. There are both large and small plush ponies. Matching sets of small and large, sold separately. Shown
from left to right: Rainbow Dash (large version not shown), Sweetberry,
Sparkleworks, Pinkie Pie, Sunny Daze, and Minty. |

These pony pillows are shaped like actual My Little Ponies. Each is roughly the size of a standard bed pillow (just the body area). Pinkie Pie, Sparkleworks, and Sunny Daze are soft and cuddly and fairly large in size. They were sold at Wal-mart and carried 8 pony points.
