Pegasus are about 4 to 6.5 inches tall and have molded wings. Please read over this section carefully. You will see some other Pegasus listed separately on the main page of the ID, such as Summer/Windy Wing Ponies and Flutter Ponies. The reason for the separate listing is those ponies have thin wings that are often removed and the collector does not know that it was once a Pegasus. Pegasus with molded wings (that are not removable are listed here).

Always, check for the Hasbro trademark on the bottom of the hoof to determine if its a real My Little Pony. This section only covers My Little Ponies created from 1981-1993.

• Three keys symbol; pink body.
• Is not the pony listed above (See Twinkle-Eyed Ponies). Symbols includes popsicles, masks, and beanies. Note that there are two Twinkle-Eyed Ponies sections in Year 4.

Tinsel in her hair:

• All white with a teardrop medallion (upraised; 3D symbol).
• All green with a diamond-shaped medallion (upraised; 3-D symbol); all purple.
• Sparkle-filled body; stars symbol; all purple.
• Jewel in forehead; extra long hair.

She has at least 4 different colors in her mane:(If she has jeweled eyes, see section above).

• Her mane colors are pink, yellow, green, and blue. Symbols include a gold sun and green birds flying. See example photograph right.
• Extra long hair, braid or lock of hair symbol.
• She has a yellow body and stars trailing from the front of her wing instead of a symbol on her rear. See example below, right.
• Her mane colors have an almost pale tropical appearance and are coral, pink blue, and chartreuse. Symbols include butterflies and gold feathers.
• Metallic or painted on gold star/sun symbol; white pony (German exclusive; See Rainbow Ponies).

She has none of the above features:

• My pony has a glittery (or was once glittery) or metallic symbol.
• My pony does not have a glittery symbol and her symbol is only located on her hip.
• My pony's symbol covers most of her sides (not just a single symbol on each hip).

Glittery or metallic symbols: If you don't see your pony in the below section, and she has a glittery symbol and more than two colors in her mane, see the more than four colors section, above.

• Pink body, blue hair; Glittery blue lightening bolts symbol..See example right.
• Green body and hair; Glittery green musical notes symbol.
• Lavender/pinkish body; Glittery silver wings with pink hearts (painted on) symbol.
• White body; Glittery purple balloons.
• White body; Glittery/metallic black and gold bumblebees (European and U. K. exclusive; See International Ponies).

Symbols that are not glittery:

• Blue ducks symbol; lavender or pinkish body; blue hair. Note that there are two versions, the more common lavender version and a Mail Order pink version. Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference. You can read about both in the above link.
• Two giraffes; yellow body.
• Two candy covered apples (on sticks); blue body, pink and white hair.
• Two fish symbol; orange body.
• Three balloons symbol; yellow body.
• Basket full of blueberries; all blue pony. See example right.
• She has extremely poofy hair, mane will not lay flat; purple body, green hair and perfume bottle symbol.
• Two blue lightening bolts; pink body, blue hair.
• Blue belles tied with a blue ribbon; pink body blue hair; (U. K. and European exclusive; See Flower Ponies).
• Compass (has N, E, S, W on it) symbol with a small blue star next to it (no flocking) (U. K. and European exclusive; See Non So-Soft Ponies).
• Blue body, pink hair (may fade to white); pink and blue whistles symbol (no flocking) (U. K. and European exclusive; See Non So-Soft Ponies). Her symbol is often hard for people to recognize; the whistles are a sort of odd shape.

Her symbol covers most of her sides and her back:

• Butterflies symbol; all yellow.
• All white with candy symbols; all white.
• Yellow and green seahorses covering most of sides; pink body. See example below.
