Here's a sneak peak of my favorite games when I was a child in the 80's.  Do you see a particular trend of games here, very similar.  These are mostly all fantasy type games. Games not pictured:  I played every Mario and Final Fantasy game made for NES.  I think everyone did.  I also loved The Legend of Zelda, screen still is pictured at top of page.  Games pictured:  "Battle of Olympus" was one of my favorites as a kid, challenging too still today.  It was based on Greek mythology and had very interesting places and levels.  The game is hard though, the buttons are hard to sync with the rigid action and some levels are nearly impossible. "Rygar" was another favorite.  This game is not terribly difficult, the graphics were amazing for the time they were made.    An interesting concept of a moving skyline made the game unique.  Lots of good memories playing this one. "Adventures of Link"  was perhaps my all time favorite game for NES.  Awesome gameplay, lots of fun. "Crystalis" is a really good game; my favorite part of the game is that the main character moved faster than other fantasy characters.  I liked the quicker motion, great graphics, intense gameplay, all. "Donkey Kong, Jr."  Who doesn't remember this game?   "Dragon Warrior"  I loved all of these, I believe I liked them better than Final Fantasy.  They were near carbon copies of one another, same type RPG. "Hydlide"  This one ranks with Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy, similar look and fashion.    It was a good game though. "Shadowgate" is a unique game played by exploring rooms at Shadowgate.  This is a challenging game, very challenging.
