::My Little Pony Information::
::"Grecian My Little Ponies"::

"    A big thanks to Thanasis Ioannou (also known as Ixis) for use of inserts and many of the photos and inserts below, all images not marked otherwise belong to him.  Also thanks to Baby Ember.  All photographs on this page are copyrighted.  Also thanks to MarNic (from Cyprus) for corrected Greek information.  Due to inconsistencies of Grecian booklets, I will be listing Grecian Ponies according to their U. S. pony names and Grecian names (where available).

Baby Buggy / Baby Ponies / Fairy Tail Ponies (or Rainbow Ponies) / Mommy Ponies / Peachy and the Pretty Parlor / Pony Stars (Unicorns and Pegasus) / Pony Wear

Greek Facts:

  • Some information from Grecian booklets is incorrect.
  • There are the regular Grecian issues (no markings) and Grecian ponies with the delta mark on the hooves.  I still have no proof that the delta mark ponies are Grecian, but I'm fairly sure they are.
  • El Greco was the company that produced them.
  • Same symbol ponies were often made in different colors.  For example, there is a white and yellow version of the Grecian Glory.
  • Have distinctive eyes, almost an "Egyptian style" eye.
  • Have softer plastic bodies than regular ponies.
  • El Greco made Grecian ponies, pony wear, and accessories.

Baby Buggy

The Grecian Baby Buggy is basically the same as the US issue.  However, the Baby Pony that came with the buggy varied.  The Baby Buggy came with different ponies.  They also came with unique accessories, which are shown with the ponies below.  The Grecian versions did not come with the same accessories as the U. S. issue of Baby Cuddles and the Baby Buggy.

Each came with a white bottle with colored top, flower or shooting star brush, B-A-B-Y necklace, and ribbon. Colors vary from package to package; the same pony may have differently colored accessories.

Baby Firefly (Pegasus) is peachy pink with pink hair and blue lightening bolts.
Thanks so much to Baby Ember for use of this photograph, please visit Baby Ember's Site to see collections of rare Grecians, Brazilians and Argentineans.

Baby Glory
(unicorn) is all blue with a green shooting star symbol.  She is in Baby Glory's classic pose.
Thanks so much to Baby Ember for use of this photograph, please visit Baby Ember's Site to see collections of rare Grecians, Brazilians and Argentineans.

Baby Adara (Pegasus) is white with pink hair and an odd Grecian symbol.  Thanks so much to Baby Ember for use of this photograph, please visit Baby Ember's Site to see collections of rare Grecians, Brazilians and Argentineans.

Baby Ponies

These Baby Ponies were nameless, but corresponded with the Mother Ponies listed above.  I have done the best I can with interpreting the picture with the information that I was given.  Until I can see each one very closely I will not be totally certain of the validity of their descriptions.  Since they were nameless, I gave a name to each pony that matched the mother ponies.

Ponies listed left to right on insert.

"Baby Bowtie" is white with pink hair with pink bows for her symbol.
Baby Unknown is blue with pink hair.  She is the only baby that does not seem to match up her parent pony.  She almost looks like Baby Cuddles, but I honestly have no clue if she was ever made.
"Baby Blossom" is lavender with purple hair and white flowers.  She is the American equivalent to Baby Blossom.  The versions I have seen are not the same light lavender like the U. S. versions, her hair and body are more brilliantly colored.
"Baby Cotton Candy" is pink with white dots.  She is the American equivalent to Baby Cotton Candy.
Ba is yellow with purple hair and purple raindrops.  She is the equivalent to the International Baby Lemon Drop (varied pose).
"Baby Snuzzle" is blue with purple stars and a purple rose on the other.  She came with the Greek version of the Baby Buggy.  She would be comparative to a Baby Snuzzle in appearance.
"Baby Minty" is green with white hair and green clovers.  She would be comparative to a Baby Minty in appearance.
"Baby Peachy" is pink with purple hair and red pink hearts.  She would be comparative to a Baby Peachy.  Symbol prone to bleeding.

Fairy Tail Ponies (alternates to Rainbow Ponies)

Anemos or Windy is lavender with rainbow hair and purple wind.

Skydancer (Pegasus) is white with rainbow hair and blue and red flying birds.
The names of the other Fairy Tale Ponies are Astrapi (thunder), Ouranos(heaven), Neraida, Anatoli(east), Protobrochi(first rain).

Mother Ponies

Please note:  The names in the above insert are incorrect.  It was El Greco's mistake and misprint.  The names to the right match the El Greco insert;  Please read below for correct information.  Lemonitsa and Zizi should be switched; so should Rosalyn and Chionoula.

Elsa or Blue Belle
is blue with purple hair and purple stars.
Chionoula (Snowflock) or Cotton Candy is pink with pink hair and white dots.
Chloe or Minty is green with white hair and green clovers.
Lily or Blossom is pink with lavender hair and white flowers.
Lemonitsa or Lemondrop is yellow with lavender hair and purple raindrops.  Symbol prone to bleeding.
Zizi or Butterscotch is yellow with orange butterflies.
Rosalyn or Bowtie is white with pink hair and pink bows.  She has the same symbol as Bowtie.  Symbol prone to bleeding.
Melenia (Made of Honey) or Peachy is peach with purple hair and pink hearts.  She is the American equivalent of Peachy.  The original U. S. Peachy was sold with the Pretty Parlor.  Symbol prone to bleeding.

To see the U. S. equivalents, please see Year 3, Collector Ponies.

Peachy and the Pretty Parlor
Peachy
(earth pony) is orange with purple hair and red hearts.  Her heart symbol is prone to fading and bleeding.   The Pretty Parlor in Greece is basically the same as everywhere else, except the name cards are written in Greek.  To see the U. S. Pretty Parlor, click here.

Pony Stars (Alternates to Year 2 Unicorns and Pegasus)

The Pony Star are basically the same ponies as the Year 2 Unicorns and Pegasus.  The Greek versions have some notable differences.  They are based on (listed left, right--left, right)  Sunbeam, Twilight, Morning Glory, Medley, Firefly, and Moondancer.

Below are any variations and information on those variation that I currently have access to.
Melody (Pegasus) is yellow with blue and green hair with blue musical notes.  She is the Greek alternate to the U. S. pony Medley, and her Grecian name is Melodia.  She comes with a purple flower brush and lavender ribbon.

Here is another Grecian version:  She is green with rainbow hair and green musical notes.

Moonlight (unicorn) is orange with purple and dark pink hair and purple stars symbol.  She is the Greek alternate to the U. S. version of Twilight in Moondancer's pose.

Morning Star (Unicorn) is white with purple and blue hair and a purple shooting star symbol.  She is the Greek alternate to the U. S. pony Glory.  She comes with a pink shooting star brush and blue ribbon.

Another version of Glory:  She is blue with yellow and blue hair with a lavender shooting star symbol.

Golden Hair (unicorn) is blue with yellow hair and a gold sun symbol.  She is the Greek alternate to the U. S. pony Sunlight, and her Greek name is Chrisomalousa.  She comes with a purple flower brush and blue ribbon.

Pegasus (Pegasus) is orange with redish hair with lavender accents.  She has blue thunderbolts for her symbol.  She is the Greek alternate to Firefly.  She comes with a pink flower brush and blue ribbon.
