Petite Ponies sold specifically in the U. S.
(1989-1990)

The Petite Ponies were produced by Hasbro in Years 8 and 9.  They are miniature My Little Ponies in an array of poses and colors.  Some had brush-able tails, some glowed in the dark, and some even sparkled.  They also came with different pony places.
Big, Big thanks to Melissa for letting me use her rare pictures for this site, you can check her site, the Petite Pocket .  This is a very beautifully constructed, very thorough site about Petite MLP's.  If your a big petite collector you must visit this site.   Her photographs are noted at the bottom of each page.  Also, thanks to Jennifer for all the ponies symbol colors.
If you would like to see the different Petite Pony Poses featured at the Petite Pocket.

Ponytail Ponies

After the Pretty Pony Parade, Sunsparkle Ponies and the Pretty 'n Pearly Ponies, the Petite Ponies had a make-over and got ponytails.  They had brush-able tails, some of them even had curly hair.  They remained this way for the rest of production.
They now came four per pack and had a star comb to brush the Petite Ponies hair with.  Picture right:  A mint in package set of four Ponytail ponies, as they were simply called (the first edition of Ponytail Ponies to be produced).  They proudly bore the My Little Pony logo on the top of the package, above their own multi-colored logo.
