This section details
the backcards from the 1980's classic My Little Ponies. Some carded versions
can be very difficult to find. U. S. boxes and back
cards are very similar, having all the same information on both.
The only noticeable difference is a card has a hanger and a box often does not. U. S. back cards have
several standard features: a back card story, proof of purchase,
Horseshoe Points on the package, Hasbro information, and a hanger (most
boxes don't have hangers).U. S. boxes have several
standard features: a back card story, proof of purchase, Horseshoe
Points on the package, and Hasbro information.Horseshoe Points: Are little hoofprints on the package with a number on them.
These could be saved for special offers. See example right.
Proof of Purchase: The UPC code on every package.
Back card Story: Each package comes with a special story for each different pony.
Hasbro Information: Includes the Hasbro emblem and Hasbro's information.

Cartoon Insert:
Makes up the majority of the back card. The cartoon insert always
shows the ponies from that set and all their names.

Here is a box from
Year 7 of the Perfume Puff Ponies (note that there is no hanger at the
top):

Pictured below is the
bottom of the box; this particular box has the Proof of Purchase on the
bottom.
