German and Austrian My Little Ponies

Below is a listing of My Little Ponies available only in Germany and/or Austria.  The coveted Rainbow Ponies Nightlight and Raindrop are German exclusives also the Neste Babies, German Babies and more. 

 

Baby Ponies (German)

These babies were sold in Germany in a set together along with Baby Cotton Candy (German Baby Karmell).

Baby Buttons (unicorn) is lavender with blue hair with a pink streak and pink buttons and blue stars.  She has blue eyes and is in Baby Glory's pose.  Her German name is Baby Blumchen.

 


 

Baby Cherries Jubilee (earth Pony) is a pale orange (melon orange) with pink hair and has dark pink cherries as her symbol. She has three white freckles on her nose and green eyes.  She is in Baby Blossom's pose.  Her German name is Baby Kirschblute.

Baby Heart Throb (German; winged heart version) (Pegasus) is pink with dark pink hair and has three pink hearts silver metallic wings as her symbol.   She has blue eyes and is in Baby Firefly's pose.  There are two versions of NBBE Baby Heart Throb; the German version has winged and the U. K. version has hearts (no wings).

Baby Hopscotch (earth pony) pale blue with purple hair and a purple hopscotch game. She has three white freckles on her nose and has purple eyes.  She is in Baby Blossom's pose.  Her German name is Baby Hopsi.

Baby Honeycomb (Pegasus) is white with golden yellow hair and three black bees.  Her eyes are purple and she is in Baby Firefly's pose.  Her German name is Baby Bienchen.

Baby Lemon Drop (earth Pony) is yellow with dark lavender hair and lavender rain drops.  She has lavender eyes and is in Baby Blossom's  pose.   She has three white freckles on her nose.  There is another version of Baby Lemon Drop; she is in Ember's pose and is pictured in the above section  Her German name is Baby Zitroenchen.

    These are non-glittery versions of the Baby Ponies sold in the U. S.   Baby Firefly, Baby Glory, Baby Moondancer, and Baby Surprise were available with non-glittery symbols.  Close up pictured right (thanks to Joanne for use of this photograph).

Baby Firefly (Pegasus) is pink with blue hair and a blue lightening bolt.  The U. S. version has a glittery symbol; also many International versions also have glittery symbols.  

 

 

 

Baby Moondancer (unicorn) is white with pink hair and a lavender streak.  She has a pink moon and stars symbol.  She varies from the U. S. version in that her symbol is not glittery.
    

 

 

 

Baby Surprise (Pegasus) is white with chartreuse hair and a purple balloon.  She varies from the U. S. version in that her symbol isn't glittery.  Thanks to Little Spiffy for use of this photograph.

Milkyway 
Milkyway
(unicorn)  is purple with white hair and white stars. She has three white stars on her right cheek.  She is a first edition twice as fancy pony, and her American version has silver glittery stars.  She has purple eyes and is in Mimic's pose.  Her German name is Silberstern.  She is from the United Kingdom and Germany.  

 

Moonstone (unicorn) is blue with rainbow hair and a painted ringed planet and stars (painted on, not metallic).  She does not have glittery symbols, unlike here US counterpart.  Her German name is Mondschein and she has Hong Kong stamped on the hoof.

 

 

 

Nesthackchen-Baby Ponies

These German exclusive babies are difficult to find.  They are commonly named Nesthackchen Baby Ponies in German, and often nicknamed Neste Babies for short.  

The insert at the right shows them with their actual accessories.  However, the insert does not show them in the correct poses.

Schlummerlein (earth pony) is yellow with red hair and a pink and purple rattle symbol. She came with a pink cradle, aqua blanket, and pink teddy, and purple moon comb.   She is sometimes called Baby Murorachen. 

Blubberchen (earth pony) is pink with aqua hair and a yellow duck symbol.  She stands in Baby Ember's pose and has aqua eyes.  She came with an white bath tub, aqua bath brush, and a dark pink towel, and yellow duck comb.  

Würfelchen
(earth pony) is light blue with pink hair with three blocks. She stands in Baby Blossom's pose and has purple eyes.  Her hair is prone to fading white.  She came with pink playpen, a rocker stacker, and a pink printed blanket, and yellow comb.  Thanks to Heather for use of this photograph.

 

 

 

Rainbow Ponies (rainbow colored hair)
These four ponies were sold exclusively in Germany and Austria, as a set.
Night Light (earth Pony) is blue with a white crescent moon and two yellow stars.  She has sea foam/aqua green, aqua blue, chartreuse, coral hair (starting from the forehead going back).  There are two versions of Nightlight.  Pictured below is the large symbol version, there is also a smaller symbol version (close up pictured right).  Her German name is Nachtlicht.  She is in Applejack's pose.  The smaller symbol versions are harder to find.

Raindrop (earth Pony) is bright pink with a white rain cloud with a yellow sun underneath.  She has green, blue, pink, coral hair (starting from forehead going back). Her German name is Regentropfen.  She is in Applejack's pose.  There is also a small symbol version of Raindrop, (pictured right).  The smaller symbol versions are harder to find.

Skydancer (earth pony) is yellow with glittery green birds, and is in Pose's pose.  She has green, blue, pink, coral hair (starting from forehead going back).  Her American version is a Pegasus.
The American versions came out in Year 2.  Her German name is Himmelstänzer.  She is in Posey's pose.

Starshine (Pegasus) is white with a gold sun as her symbol.  She has green, blue, pink, coral hair (starting from forehead going back).  She is in Heart Throb's pose instead of her original pose with her head forward and foreleg lifted.  The American versions came out in Year 2.  There are several different versions of her internationally.  Her German name is Sternenglanz.  She is in Heart Throb's pose.
    There are two variations of her, one with a painted symbol (above) and one with a metallic symbol.

 

Speedy

Speedy (earth pony) is peach with blue, white and yellow hair.  Her eyes are pink.  She has blue and white rollerskate symbols.  The U. S. version is a much darker shade of orange.

 

Other Variants

Flutterbye (Pegasus) The German version of Flutterbye has painted symbols that are spread further apart than and are orange.  Her German name is Hummelchen.  To get information on her US version, click here.germantiffany.jpg (19179 bytes)

Princess Variants:  Germany came out with many variant Princess Ponies.  Princess Tiffany with gold hair is originates from Germany (see example, right); also the plastic symbol Princess Ponies.

Sweet Talking Ponies (same as U. S. versions sold in Year 10, except these ponies speak German instead of English).  They were called Goldkehlchen (UK-Chatterbox) and Goldstimmchen (UK Talks-a-Lot).
