Spanish My Little Ponies

Spanish
My Little Ponies are all based on U. S. ponies (at least all that I have seen
as of yet). Many of them are very similar to the U. S. counterparts, but
there are subtle differences. Many Spanish ponies also have longer
hair than their counterparts. Spanish variants originate both from U. S. and
International ponies. The hoof picture is courtesy of Lieneke and all copyright
belong to her. There are many additional Spanish
Ponies. Twinkle Eye Ponies, Rainbow Ponies, Flutter Ponies, and many
others as well. Two types of Spanish hooves:(Version 1; Spain stamp) The
easily spotted Spanish pony has Spain stamped into the hoof. Very easily noted.
Thanks to Roswita for the hoof pics below (all three).

(Version 2' "No
Country"; have no country stamped on hoof) Copyright date and Hasbro stamped
on one hoof; three blank hooves. These are actually often labeled "No
Country Ponies" (though not all NC ponies are Spanish). Some may
not agree with my personal feelings that these are actually Spanish (since they
don't have Spain on the hoof). I believe these ponies were made first
by the factories that manufactured the "Spain" hoof versions; I believe
this were first manufactured, then the stamp was changed sometime after this
above version was sold. Not all "No Country" Ponies
are Spanish.

Though these versions were manufactured in the same place, it does not mean
these were sold into the same countries. So Spanish hoof ponies may appear
in different countries than the "No Country" Spanish ponies.
Pictured right is a close up
of a Spanish eye; this eye belongs to Moonstone. Thanks to Roswita
for this pic.Cherries Jubilee (version
2; "No Country" version) (earth pony) is peachy pink or
peachy with pink hair and a pink and green cherry symbol. She has blue
eyes; the U. S. version has green eyes. She also has pink cherries and the U. S. version has dark
pink cherries. Spain is not stamped on her hoof; just the copyright
date and Hasbro. Thanks to Roswita for these photos.
Forget-Me-Not (flutter
pony) is purple with white hair and dark pink Forget-Me-Nots.
She has blue eyes with a think eye line. She is one of the later releases
of Spanish pony, released in 1988. Her hoof has Spain stamped into
it. Flutter ponies have delicate wings, this ponies wings have been broken
off (as with most Flutter
Ponies). She differs from the U. S. pony in that her hairline is further
back than the U. S. version, her eyes and symbol have darker accents.
Thanks to Twilight for use of her pictured of Forget-Me-Not; be sure to drop
by Twilight's Secret Place.
Flutterbye, Version 1: (Pegasus)
is melon orange with light coral, pink, blue, and chartreuse hair. Her
symbol is three dark orange butterflies (metallic). She has violet eyes.
Note: the Spanish versions butterflies are shaped differently than the
Hong Kong and other versions. She has Spain stamped onto the hoof.
The No Country version also has three butterflies, but her butterflies are larger;
it may also be Spanish. Thanks to Roswita for the use of these photographs.
She is in a different pose than the U. S. version; U. S. version in in Heart
Throb's pose (head tilted in).
Flutterbye, Version 2: (Pegasus)
is melon orange with light coral, pink, blue, and chartreuse hair. Her
symbol is three dark purple butterflies. Note: the Spanish versions
butterflies are shaped differently than the Hong Kong and other versions.
She has Spain carved onto the hoof. Her head tilts in like
the U. S. version. Thanks to Little Spiffy for the use of this photograph.
Hopscotch (earth pony)
is blue with purple hair and a pink and purple hopscotch symbol (strong, crisp
symbol). She has light pink eyes. Hopscotch was a European
exclusive. She has Spain stamped onto the hoof. There are
several variations of her. The Hong
Kong version looks much like this version but has violet eyes (instead of
pink) and her symbol is less clear. There is also an Italian version,
which is similar to the UK version, violet eyes, less clear symbol, and Italy
on the hoof. There is also a
No Country Hopscotch which is very similar to the Spanish Hopscotch (both
have pink eyes and pronounced symbols). It only has the copyright date
and Hasbro on its hoof. It may also be a Spanish version.
Thanks to SailorSaturn for use of this photograph.
Lickety Split (earth
pony) is lavender with pink hair and pink and white
ice cream cones. She has violet eyes and curly hair (like the U. S. version).
Her eyeline is much darker than the U. S. version. She is almost identical to
the U. S. version except she has smaller ice cream comes and her eyes appear to be a shade lighter
than the U. S. version. She has Spain stamped onto the hoof.
Thanks to Roswita for these
photographs.

Lickety Split (version 2
"No Country") (earth pony) is lavender with pink hair and pink
and white ice cream cones. She has violet eyes and curly hair (like the
U. S. version). She is almost identical to the U.
S. version except she has smaller ice cream comes and her eyes appear to
be a shade lighter than the U. S. version. She is identical to the version
above except she doesn't have Spain on the hoof. She is copyright 1984,
Hasbro. Moonstone (unicorn)
is blue with red, yellow, green and aqua hair. She has a
silver ringed planet (blue ring), and blue and silver dots for her symbol.
Her eyes are a violet color. She is similar to the U.
S. version, but her symbol is slightly smaller. She has Spain
stamped onto the hoof. Thanks to Roswita for the use of these photographs.
Moonstone; (version 2; "No
Country") (unicorn) is blue with red, yellow, green and aqua hair.
She has a silver ringed planet (blue ring), and blue and silver dots for her
symbol. Her eyes are a violet color. She is similar to the U.
S. version, but her symbol is slightly smaller. Note: she is same
as the Spanish version above (except for her hooves). She is identical
to the first version, except Spain is not stamped on her hoof.
Her hoof is stamped with the copyright date, 83, and pat. pending; other three
hooves are blank. Thanks to Roswita for the use of these photographs.
Pinwheel (unicorn)
is pink with rainbow hair (pink, blue, chartreuse) and four pinwheels.
Her pinwheels are
much larger and more pronounced that the U.
S. version. She has Spain stamped onto the hoof. Her
hair is also longer than the U. S. version. There is also an Italian
version: same as Hong Kong version, with painted on symbols instead of
glittery. Thanks to WigWagWol for use of both Pinwheel photographs; copyrights
belong to her.
Posey (earth pony) is
yellow with pink hair and a pink tulip symbol. She varies
from the U. S. version in her eye color. The U. S. version has distinctly
green eyes and the Spanish version has blue green eyes. She also has a
much thicker eye line. Her hair appears to be about the same length as the U.
S. version. Her pink hair may fade to white. She has Spain stamped
on the hoof.
Thanks to Roswita for these photographs.
Steamer (male earth
pony) is pink with pink hair and a green stripe. He has deep yellow eyes
and a yellow and lavender train symbol. She has Spain stamped onto
the hoof. He is very similar to the U. S. version, but my U. S. version
has more pale yellow or regular yellow eyes than the deep yellow on this pony.
He also has longer hair. He also seems to have more lavender in his tone
than the U. S. very which is a deep carnation pink. He is a Big
Brother Pony. Thanks to Lieneke for use of this photo.
Snowflake (earth pony)
is pink with white hair and silver snowflakes. She has blue
eyes and white freckles. She stands in Tootsie's pose. She has Spain stamped onto the hoof. The original, (Hong
Kong version) is an International exclusive. There are three versions
of Snowflake (aside from the Spanish): Hong Kong (snowflakes are larger
and pointy than this version and are glittery, eyes are a deeper shade of blue),
Italian (has large snowflakes with pointed ends and blue eyes are not as bright),
No Country (is very similar to this version, eye color is almost the same, symbols are
about the same size but are pointy on the ends). She is the only version
with the rounded snowflakes. Thanks to Wigwagwol for use of these pictures;
all copyrights belong to her.

Tootsie (earth pony)
is green with blue hair and pink lollipops. At first glance she
looks like the regular version of Tootsie, but there are two small differences
that I can spot. Firstly, her mane is longer than the U.
S. version (about 1/2 inch). Secondly, though both have the same shade
of eye color, Spanish Tootsie's eyes are brighter. She has Spain
stamped onto the hoof.
Thanks to Wigwagwol for use of these pictures; all copyrights belong to her.
